What is a grant? Simply put, a grant is a sum of money that an organization, or state or federal agency allocates to fund a specific project or research effort. Although grants are, in a sense, “free money,” they do come with demanding reporting requirements, strict performance milestones, and lengthy lists of terms
and conditions.
